3. Press [MODE] to switch input mode between
elevation, height difference, and distance.
4. Input the desired elevation/height difference/
distance and press [OK].
•When elevation has been selected, press
[READ] to read in the elevation of a known
point.

5. Measure the foresight.
The difference between the input value and
the actual measured value is displayed. The
direction to the input value is displayed
along with an arrow. (The screen at right is
that for elevation mode)
6. Move the staff in accordance with the values
on the screen. When directions are no longer
displayed and the value on this line is 0, the
setting-out point has been reached.
Press [OK] to set a new setting-out point
without recording current data.
7. Press [REC] in the screen illustration of step 6
to display the screen at right. Press [OK] to
record setting-out data. The screen returns to
<S-O data>.
Press {ESC} to return to the screen
illustration in step 6.
PROCEDURE Reading in recorded known point data
Recorded known point data can be read in and used in setting-out measurement. It is possible to
search for data by JOB.
