20.WARNING AND ERROR MESSAGES

The following is a list of the error messages displayed by the DL and the meaning of each message.
If the same error message is repeated or if any message not shown below appears, the instrument
has malfunctioned. Contact your local dealer.
Adj. range exceeded
The adjustment range for reticle adjustment (CCD line sensor) has been exceeded, or checks
have been performed incorrectly.
Checks and adjustments can be performed but confirm correct procedure beforehand.
Contact your local dealer if this message is displayed again.
Approaching adj. limit
The adjustment range for reticle adjustment (CCD line sensor) is about to be reached, or checks
have been performed incorrectly.
Confirm correct procedure.
Stop checks and contact your local dealer if this message is displayed again.
Bad condition
The instrument is subject to excessive vibrations or hot conditions are producing shimmer.
Bluetooth device error!
Either the instrument you are using is not equipped with Bluetooth functionality or the Bluetooth
device in the DL is malfunctioning.
Contact your local dealer if this message is displayed again.
Bluetooth setting error!
Bluetooth connection configuration failed.
Perform configuration again. Contact your local dealer if this message is displayed again.
Brightness error
Something obscured the staff or the brightness level suddenly altered during measurement.
Cannot restore JOB!
Software version for backed up data and DL different.
Dist. over !
The distance you are trying to measure is outside the range (Upper dist - Lower dist) set in route
settings.
End pt. closer to route start than start pt.!
Reobs. start point must be located closer to start of base route start than reobs. end point.
File deletion error!
An error occurred while trying to delete a file.
Initialize data after first outputting all necessary data.

File open error!
An error occurred while trying to open a file.
When trying to write to a USB device, check that the USB is not read-only.
