COM 1 and COM 2 can be selected among RS232, 422 and 485.
The serial ports are asynchronous communication ports with 16C550A-compatible
UARTs that can be used with modems, serial printers, remote display terminals, and
other serial devices.
Please use the BIOS setup utility to configure serial port communication mode for COM 1
and COM 2.
BIOS Setting
Configure the serial ports including the serial communication mode in the Advanced
Configuration ("Super I/O Configuration" submenu) of the BIOS. Refer to Chapter 7 for
more information.
