12.3 Check In With Jake and Kelly
How does having your loved ones know your CGM information affect your day-to-day
life? Let's check in with Jake and Kelly to see how it works for their support teams.
Hi – Jake here! Vegas rocks! I was there last weekend for a bachelor party for one of
my buddies.
Saturday night, some of us were playing blackjack at the casino. I noticed I was low
and dropping. I planned to just finish off the Blackjack hand I was playing and then get
some food, but the groom came by and we started talking so I played an extra hand
or two. Basically, I got distracted. Don't judge me – there's a lot to be distracted by in
Vegas!
Ten minutes must have passed, and my phone started buzzing with texts. Three of my
Followers were texting me, telling me to check my Dex, get food, and text them back
that I was OK.
I checked and they were right – Oops. My bad. I'd dropped. I popped a couple of
glucose tabs, excused myself from my friend and the blackjack table, went straight to
the casino's store, and texted everyone back once I'd bought a snack.
