14. INTEGRATOR & PSU
The Integrator is an alarm messaging interface that ensures alarms and key messages from the Touchsafe
Pro Nursecall system are captured, processed and delivered quickly to the right user or team via their DECT
handsets. With an incorporated escalation capability, important alarms are automatically escalated to
another person or team should no answer be received.

INSTALLATION
Ideally the Integrator should be fitted within 2 metres of a Touchsafe Pro Nursecall panel and the UPS.
The Integrator can be free standing or wall mounted using the 2 keyhole fixing holes "A" shown below.

CONNECTION DETAILS
The mains adapter should be plugged‐in to any of the UPS "battery backed" output sockets.
Serial Port B is connected to the RS232 Pager Port on any Touchsafe Pro Nursecall panel using a 2 metre
Cat5e STP Patch lead and a 9 pin D‐sub female/RJ45 adapter (RS 818‐700).
Note: this cable can be extended up to 20 metres maximum if necessary.
The Ethernet Port is connected to the IP‐DECT Server via an Ethernet Switch using the 2 metre Cat5e STP
Patch Lead provided. Note: this cable can be extended up to 100 metres maximum if necessary.
Icon plc will connect, program and commission the Integrator.
A copy of the "Messaging Discovery Document" must be completed and returned to
support@icon‐plc.co.uk prior to booking an Icon Engineer. See section 6.
