Testing Sensors/Zones

We recommend that you test sensors/zones after all programming is completed and whenever a
sensor/zone-related problem occurs. See "SENSOR TEST (1st Tier)" on page 23 for complete
sensor test information.
If the system does not respond as described in Table 6, see "Appendix A: Troubleshooting" on
page 28.
Table 6: Sensor "Tripping" Instructions
Initiate a sensor test.
Open the secured door or window
Unplug the CO Alarm. Plug it back in, wait 10 seconds then press the
TEST/RESET button until the unit beeps 8 times
Tap the glass 3 or 4 inches from the sensor
Avoid the Motion Sensor field of view for 5 minutes, then enter its view 7-8
Rub your hands together until warm, then place one hand on the
detector for 30 seconds
Tap the glass twice, away from the sensor. Wait at least 30 seconds
before testing again
Press and hold the test button until the system sounds transmission
beeps
Press and hold the appropriate panic button(s) for 3 seconds
Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK simultaneously for 3 seconds
Press and hold the 2 EMERGENCY buttons simultaneously for 3 sec-
onds
Open the secured door or window.
