5-11 PCI-Express and Serial ATA Connections
PCI-Express 3.0 x8 Slots
Two PCI-Express 3.0 x8 slots (SXB1/SXB2) are on the serverboard. SXB1 supports
an Supermicro proprietary daughter card; while SXB2 is used for the proprietary
add-on card. Refer to the layout below for the locations.
SATA Port
A Serial ATA port (I-SATA0) is located on the serverboard. This port provides
serial-link signal support, which is faster than the connections of Parallel ATA. For
more information on SATA HostRAID configuration, please refer to the Intel SATA
HostRAID User's Guide posted on the Supermicro website.
