Schedule Power On/Off

Using t he Thecus I P st or age Sy st em Managem ent , you can save energy and m oney
by scheduling t he Thecus I P st orage t o t urn it self on and off during cert ain t im es of
t he day.
From t he m enu, choose t he Sch e du le Pow e r On / Off it em and t he Sch e du le
Pow e r On / Off screen appear s.
To designat e a schedule for t he Thecus I P st orage t o t urn on and off, first enable
t he feat ure by checking t he En a ble Sch e du le Pow e r On / Off checkbox .
Then, sim ply choose an on and off t im e for each day of t he week .
Finally, click Apply t o save your changes.
Ex a m ple - M ond a y : On: 8 :0 0 ; Off: 1 6 :0 0
Syst em will t urn on at 8: 00 AM on Monday, and off at 16: 00 on Monday . Syst em
will t urn on for t he rest of t he w eek.
I f y ou choose an on t im e, but do not assign an off t im e, t he sy st em will t urn on and
rem ain on unt il a scheduled off t im e is r eached, or if t he unit is shut down m anually.

Syst em will t urn on at 8: 00 AM on Monday, and will not shut down unless power ed
down m anually.
You m ay also choose t w o on t im es or t w o off t im es on a part icular day, and t he
syst em will act accordingly.
Ex a m ple - M ond a y : Off: 8 :0 0 ; Off: 1 6 :0 0
Syst em will t urn off at 8: 00 AM on Monday. Syst em will t urn off at 16: 00 PM on
Monday, if it was on. I f t he syst em was already off at 16: 00 PM on Monday, sy st em
will st ay off.
Do not t urns off t he sy st em dur ing t he fir m ware upgrade pr ocess.
This w ill lead t o a cat ast rophic result t hat m ay render t he syst em inoperable.
