The Syst e m M a na ge m e n t m enu gives you a w ealt h of set t ings t hat you can use
t o configure your Thecus I P st orage syst em adm inist rat ion and funct ions. You can
set up syst em t im e, syst em not ificat ions, and even upgrade firm ware fr om t his
m enu.

Time: Setting system time

From t he t im e m enu, choose t he Tim e it em and t he Tim e scr een appear s. Set t he
desired D a t e , Tim e , and Tim e Zone . You can also elect t o synchronize t he syst em
t im e on Thecus I P st orage wit h an N TP ( N e t w or k Tim e Pr ot ocol) Se r ve r .

Notification configuration

From t he m enu, choose t he N ot if ica t ion it em , and t he N ot ifica t ion
Conf igu r a t ion scr een appear s. This scr een let s you hav e Thecus I P st or age not ify
you in case of any syst em m alfunct ion. Pr ess Apply t o confirm all set t ings. See
following t able for a det ailed descript ion of each it em .

Set s t he syst em t im e zone.
Select Ena ble t o synchronize wit h t he NTP ser ver.
Select Disable t o close t he NTP server synchronizat ion.
Select YES t o allow Thecus I P st orage t o synchronize wit h an NTP
server of your choice.
I f an NTP server is select ed, please m ake sure y our Thecus I P st orage has been
set up t o access t he NTP server.
