Your Thecus I P st orage is designed for easy inst allat ion. To help you get st art ed,
t he following chapt er will help you quickly get your Thecus I P st orage up and
running. Please r ead it carefully t o pr ev ent dam aging your unit during inst allat ion.

Before You Begin

Befor e y ou begin, be sure t o t ak e t he following precaut ions:
1. Read and underst and t he Sa f e t y W a r n ings out lined in t he beginning of t he
m anual.
2. I f possible, wear an ant i- st at ic wrist st rap during inst allat ion t o prev ent
st at ic discharge from dam aging t he sensit ive elect ronic com ponent s on t he
Thecus I P st orage.
3. Be car eful not t o use m agnet ized scr ewdrivers around t he Thecus I P
st orage's elect r onic com ponent s.
Cable Connections
To connect t he Thecus I P st orage pr oduct t o your net work, follow t he st eps below:
1. Connect an Et hernet cable from your net w ork t o t he WAN/ LAN1 port on t he
back panel of t he Thecus I P st orage.

