N OTE
When y ou execut e t his ut ilit y for t he first t im e, it will ask you t o cr eat e a DB file.

Windows XP Data Backup

I f y ou use Windows XP Professional, you can also use t he Windows Backup Ut ilit y
( Nt backup.exe) t o back up your files.
I f y ou use Windows XP Hom e Edit ion, follow t hese st eps t o inst all t he ut ilit y:
1. I nsert t he Windows XP CD int o a drive and double- click t he CD icon in M y

I f y ou can not find Thecus Backup Ut ilit y on your CD, please download it
from t he Thecus websit e ( ht t p: / / w ww .t hecus. com ) .
D e scr ipt ion
Specifies a nam e for t he current t ask.
Click t o specify t he source folder/ file locat ion.
Click t o specify whet her t he backup will be increm ent al.
I f unchecked, t he backup will be a full backup.
Click t o specify t he dest inat ion folder/ file locat ion.
Files wit h t hese file nam e ext ensions will be skipped and not
backed up t o t he dest inat ion.
