SIS Configuration
and Control
This section contains SIS communication details and SIS commands and responses when
the host device is connected directly to an XTP T HD 4K or XTP R HD 4K. Topics in this

Host Device Connection

Use a connected computer running the Extron DataViewer utility to send and receive
SIS commands and responses. To connect directly to an XTP T HD 4K or XTP R HD 4K,
connect the computer to the front panel USB configuration connector (see
page 16 or

SIS Overview

Host and Device Communication

SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. When the XTP T HD 4K or XTP R HD 4K
determines that a command is valid, it executes the command and sends a response
to the host device. All responses from the transmitter or receiver to the host device end
with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =
character string. A string is one or more characters.

Error Responses

If the transmitter or receiver determines a command is invalid or contains invalid parameters,
the it returns an error response to the host. The following error codes may apply to either
device:
