The &F8 configuration is used with most software
packages that support software (XON/XOFF) flow
control. The modem configuration is as follows:

Note:
The&F9 configuration is used with most software
packages that support hardware (RTS/CTS) flow control.
To use RTS/CTS flow control on a Macintosh, the
communications software must support the feature, and
you need a special cable as recommended in the software
documentation. You must set the modem to ignore DTR
(&DO).
