2. Enter AT A to your modem within a few seconds.
Both parties can hang up the telephone. The
modem sends a
CONNECT
result message when the
connection occurs provided that QO is set.
If no carrier signal is detected within the timeout period
defined by the S7 register, the modem hangs up, sends a
NO CARRIER
result message, and returns to command
state.
This command can be aborted by pressing any key (when
S64=O). If the command is aborted, the modem sends a
NO CARRIER
result message.
Ending a Connection
To end a connection, disconnect through your
communications software. If you are not using
communications software, you can disconnect a call by
pressing the
TID
switch on the front panel ofthe modem.
Using a Leased Line
If
you are using your W orldBlazer standalone modem
with a leased line, refer to Appendix C, Leased-Line
Considerations, for set-up and configuration information.

To check the integrity of the analog/digital circuitry and
telephone line interface in the standalone modem,
perform the following:
1. Turn on the speaker (M! command).
2. Enter the following tone dialing command:
AT DT 12345
