Checking the Network Status

Perform the CC-Link IE Field Network diagnostics to check the network status and error details or to perform an operation test
for troubleshooting.
This section describes a method for diagnosing the system by directly connecting the engineering tool to the remote head
module. For the method connecting the engineering tool to the master station, refer to the following.
 User's manual for the master/local module used
Diagnostic items
The following table lists items that can be diagnosed by the CC-Link IE Field Network diagnostics.

• The CC-Link IE Field Network diagnostics cannot be started when another station has been specified for
"Other Station Setting" in the "Specify Connection Destination Connection" window. Directly connect the
engineering tool to the remote head module to be diagnosed, and start the CC-Link IE Field Network
diagnostics.
• For the redundant system configuration, the CC-Link IE Field Network diagnostics cannot be started when
another remote head module has been specified in "Target System" of the "Specify Connection Destination
Connection" window. Directly connect the engineering tool to the remote head module to be diagnosed,
specify the own remote head module ("Not Specified" in "Multiple CPU Setting" and "Not Specified" in
"Specify Redundant CPU"), and start the CC-Link IE Field Network diagnostics.
Description
Displays the communication status of the remote head module.
Checks if transient transmission data can be properly routed from the connected
station to the communication target station.
Checks the arrival time and route of IP communications from the connected station
to the communication target.
Checks the connection status of cables between the test target station and the
devices connected to the port of the station.
Remotely operates the remote head module (RUN, STOP, RESET).
