Redundant Function

This function improves system reliability by making the remote head module redundant so that the remote head module can
continue control even if an error occurs in either of the remote head modules.
In the redundant system described in this manual, continuous operation of the system is not always
guaranteed as this would depend on the failure status.
Also, when the systems are switched because of an error in a module on the base unit in which the remote
head module is mounted, the same error is detected also in the standby system, and the remote head
modules of both systems stop.
Configure safety circuits external to the programmable controller to ensure that the entire system operates
safely even in such a case.
