Installation Type 3
To connect the module:
Please ensure that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during
1
programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift
lever is in the neutral position.
2
Connect all the harnesses to the DS4+, EXCEPT the 12-pin main power harness.
Connect the 12-pin main power harness, and wait until the LED turns ON solid red.
3
Note: For vehicles not equipped with a transponder key system, press the programming
button 5x to skip transponder programming. The LED will turn on solid orange then proceed
to step 5.
Insert the key in the ignition switch. The LED flashes red slowly for a few seconds to
4
indicate the key is in learning mode then the LED turns ON solid green.
Once the LED flashes red twice, press the programming button 5 times to skip
the CAN programming. The LED turns off quickly before turning ON solid
5
orange for 3 seconds. Turn the ignition to the ON position. The LED turns
ON solid green for 3 seconds, then turns OFF.
6
Turn vehicle ignition OFF once the module is successfully programmed.
Pair remotes (if applicable). For information on how to pair a specific remote, please
7
refer to its corresponding owner documentation, which can be found inside the product
packaging of the complete system or on www.directechs.com.*
By default, the tachometer is preprogrammed for the vehicle. For instructions on how to
8
program tach, see page 33.
* Your aftermarket remote may differ from the model shown in the illustrations.
