Carry out the following steps in accordance with the wire-feed unit operating instructions:

Insert the feed rollers in the wire-feed unit
Insert the wirespool or basket-type spool with adapter in the wire-feed unit
Feed in the wire electrode
Set the contact pressure
Adjust the brake
Close the wire drive cover
