Network requirements
As shown in
The IRF fabric comprises a master and a slave switch. The member ID of the master is 1; its active
MPU resides in slot 0 and standby MPU resides in slot 1. The member ID of the slave switch is 2; its
active MPU resides in slot 0 and standby MPU resides in slot 1.
The current system software image of the IRF fabric is soft-version1 and you must upgrade the
software of the IRF fabric to soft-version2 through remote operations. The latest application is
soft-version2.app and is saved on the TFTP server.
The IP address of the IRF fabric is 1.1.1.1/24, and that of the TFTP server is 2.2.2.2/24. The IRF fabric
and the TFTP server can reach each other.

Configuration procedure
Configure the TFTP server (The configuration varies with server types)

Obtain the right system software image for the software version upgrade through legal channels (such as
HP official websites, agents, or technical staff), and then save the file to the working path on the TFTP
server to make the file accessible to the TFTP client.
Configure the IRF fabric

# Download the system software image soft-version2.app to the root directory of the storage medium on
all MPUs of the IRF fabric.
<IRF> tftp 2.2.2.2 get soft-version2.app
