Unsatisfactory cleaning result

Problem
The dishes are not
clean.
Smearing appears on
glassware and cutlery.
There is a bluish sheen
on the surface of
glassware; film can be
wiped off.
Crockery is not dry or
cutlery and glasses are
flecked.
Cause and remedy
The dishes were not loaded correctly.
 See notes in "Loading the dishwasher".
The programme was not suitable for the load.
 Select a more suitable programme (see
"Programme chart").
Not enough detergent/cleaning agent was dispensed.
 Increase the dosage.
The detergent/cleaning agent used is not suitable for
the type of soiling present.
 Change your brand.
Items are blocking the path of the spray arms.
 Rearrange the items so that the spray arms can
rotate freely.
The filter combination in the base of the wash cabinet
is not clean or is not correctly fitted.
This may cause the spray arm jets to get blocked.
 Clean and/or fit the filter combination correctly.
 Clean the spray arm jets, if necessary (see
"Cleaning and care").
The non-return valve is open and blocked. Dirty water
has flowed back into the wash cabinet.
 Clean the drain pump and the non-return valve
(see "Maintenance").
The rinse aid dosage is set too high.
 Reduce the dosage (see "Settings menu, Rinse
aid").
The rinse aid dosage is set too low or the rinse aid
reservoir or container is empty.
 Replenish the rinse aid, increase the dosage or
change the brand of rinse aid used (see "Adding
rinse aid").
Crockery was taken out of the cabinet too soon.
 Leave it in for longer (see "Operation").
