Problem Solving Guide; Technical Problems - Miele PG 8083 SCVi Operating Instructions Manual

With the help of the following guide, minor faults in the performance of the
machine, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right
without contacting the Service Department.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a fault, and to correct it.
You should, however, note the following:

Repairs must only be carried out by a Miele technician or a Miele authorised
service agent in accordance with local and national safety regulations.
Unauthorised or incorrect repairs and other work by unqualified persons could
be dangerous.

Technical problems

Problem
The dishwasher does
not start.
The dishwasher stops
during a programme.
After the programme
has started, the In-
operation indicator light
is not visible.
Cause and remedy
The door is not properly closed.
 Push the door firmly shut.
The dishwasher is not plugged in.
 Insert the plug and switch on at the socket.
The circuit breaker has tripped.
 Reset the trip switch in the mains fuse box or
replace the fuse in the plug (minimum fuse rating -
see data plate).
The dishwasher is not switched on.
 Press the  button and select a programme.
The fuse has tripped.
 Reset the trip switch (minimum fuse rating - see
data plate).
 If the mains fuse trips again, call the Miele Service
Department.
The reflector panel was not correctly fitted.
 Re-fit the reflector panel correctly (see Installation
sheet).
