Problem
White residue is visible
on the dishware.
Clouding occurs on
glassware and cutlery;
film can be wiped off.
Glassware has a brown
or blue tinge, and film
cannot be wiped off.
Glassware is dull and
discoloured; film cannot
be wiped off.
Tea or lipstick stains
have not been
completely removed.
Plastic items are
discoloured.
There are rust stains on
cutlery.

Cause and remedy
The rinsing agent dosage is set too low.
 Increase the dosage (see "Settings menu,
aid
").
There is no salt in the salt reservoir.
 Fill the salt reservoir (see "Filling the salt
reservoir").
The water softener is programmed to too low a water
hardness level.
 Programme the water softener to the correct value
(see "Settings, Water hardness").
This is caused by ingredients in the cleaning agent.
 Change your brand.
The glassware is not dishwasher-proof. The surfaces
are affected.
 Purchase glassware which is dishwasher-proof.
The wash temperature of the selected programme
was too low.
 Select a programme with a higher wash
temperature.
The bleaching effect of the cleaning agent used is too
low.
 Change your brand.
Natural dyes e.g. from carrots or tomatoes may be the
cause. The amount of cleaning agent used or its
bleaching effect was not sufficient to deal with natural
dyes.
 Use more cleaning agent (see "Operation,
Detergent").
Discoloured plastic items will not regain their original
colour.
A programme was not run after dishwasher salt was
added. Traces of salt have got into the wash cycle.
 Always run the "
wash load after refilling salt.
The affected items are not corrosion resistant.
 Purchase cutlery which is dishwasher-proof.
