5.1
SCOPE
This section gives the procedures to be used for the
calibration and specification verification of the Model 75.
Complete instrument specifications are given in Section
1 of this manual. For a complete functional verification,
refer to Section 2.3.
5.2
FACTORY REPAIR
Wavetek maintains a factory repair department for those
customers not possessing the necessary personnel or
test equipment to maintain the instrument. If an
instrument is returned to the factory for calibration or
repair, a detailed description of the specific problem
should be attached to minimize the turnaround time.
5.3
REQUIRED TEST EQUIPMENT
The test equipment required to perform the calibration
procedures given in paragraphs 5.4 through 5.9 is listed
in table 5-1.
5.4
CALIBRATION
Calibration of the Model 75 is performed solely through
the use of front panel controls. Allow the instrument to
warm up at least 30 minutes before beginning calibra-
tion. Do not remove instrument covers during this pro-
cedure. Once the calibration has been performed, the
instrument will hold calibration as long as the internal
battery maintains the memory. If the display indicates
Wavetek Model 75 "Cold Start" on power up, the
memory has been lost and the following calibration steps
must be performed.
1. Interconnect the Model 75 and test equipment as
shown in figure 5-1.
2. Set the digital voltmeter (DVM) as follows:

3. Perform the steps in the order shown in table 5-2.
NOTE
The completion of the calibration procedure returns
the instrument to correct alignment.
