START AND STOP ADDRESSES
The "X" values at the beginning and end of the output
waveform can be set to any value between 0 and 2047
points (81 91 in chained operation) as long as the end is
greater than the beginning. To set the beginning or end,
press START or STOP (from the Edit menu) as desired
and then use the Control knob to set the value. Break
points after the stop address may be lost when moving
the stop address.

WAVEFORM PARAMETERS
The "Parameter" menu allows changing of the fre-
quency, amplitude, offset, and operational modes. The
following four paragraphs will discuss the frequency,
amplitude, and offset parameters. The operational
modes will bediscussed in paragraphs 3.1 5 thru 3.1 5.5.

Waveform Frequency, Period, and Sample
Frequency
The waveform "frequency" can be set from the
Parameter menu in one of three ways; in terms of "fre-
quency'' using the FREQ soft key(F1), in terms of "time
period" using the PER soft key(F2), or in terms of "sam-
ple frequency" using the SAMPL soft key(F3). Adjusting
any of these parameters is actually adjusting the "sam-
ple frequency", but the display is calibrated differently
for each soft key. The waveform "frequency" is "sam-
ple frequency" divided by the number of horizontal
"points" in the waveform. The waveform "period" is the
inverse of the waveform "frequency". The number of
points in the waveform is thestopaddress minus thestart
address plus one. To adjust any of these values, press
the associated soft key and then use the Control knob
to set the value.
