Purpose
pair on the switch.
Syntax
config mirror port <port> add source ports
<portlist> [rx|tx|both]
Description
This command allows you to add or delete
mirroring ports. It also allows a range of ports to
have all of their traffic sent to a designated port
− where a network sniffer or other device can
monitor the network traffic. You can also specify
that only traffic received by or sent by or both is
mirrored to the Target port.
<port> − This specifies the Target port (the port
Parameters
where mirrored packets will be sent).
<portlist> − Specifies a range of ports to be
configured. The port list is specified by listing
the beginning port number and the highest port
number of the range. The beginning and end of
the port list range are separated by a dash. For
example, 3 would specify port 3. 4 specifies port
4. 3-4 specifies all of the ports between port 3
and port 4 − in numerical order.
rx − Allows the mirroring of only packets
received (flowing into) the port or ports in the
port list.
tx − Allows the mirroring of only packets sent
(flowing out of) the port or ports in the port list.
both − Mirrors all the packets received or sent
by the port or ports in the port list.

Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
