Dolby Digital: the digital audio output (SPDIF) mode, either Off or On

Video Output: the video output signal for the TV scart connection. The options are:

a. CVBS + RGB: composite video (CVB-S) and RGB (recommended)
b. CVBS + S-Video: composite video (CVB-S) and super-video (S-Video)
c. CVBS: composite video (CVB-S)
3.3.3 Time & Timer setting Menu
This menu can be used to set the clock and a timer for one or more events or the automatic receiver
shutdown.

3.3.3.1 Time Menu

This menu can be used to set the clock required by the receiver to be able to view all the programmes
related to the electronic programme guide (EPG) and to set event timers.
The menu changes functions according to the GMT and Region parameter settings.
Automatic time mode (GMT Usage = On)
In this mode the receiver will read the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) by satellite and adjust the time
automatically. The parameters:
GMT Usage: On

a. Select a city and the GMT time zone parameter is set automatically.
b. Set to User if you want to vary the GMT time zone parameter manually
GMT Offset: define (if Region=User) or show (if Region≠User) the difference between GMT and

local time
Date: show the actual date

Time: show the actual time

Summer Time: to enable the legal time correction set to On, otherwise set to Off (available only if

Region≠User)
Time Display: set On to show or Off to hide the clock on the receiver display (if available) when it is

in standby.
Manual time mode (GMT Usage = Off)
In this mode the receiver ignores the satellite information and only the user adjusts the date and time.
The parameters:
GMT Usage: Off

Region: not used in this mode

GMT Offset: not used in this mode

Date: use the number buttons to enter the date
4.
Time: use the number buttons to enter the time
5.
Summer time: not used in this mode

Time Display: set On to show or Off to hide the time on the receiver display (if available) when it is

in standby.

3.3.3.2 Timer Menu

The Timer menu can be used to set up to 8 timers on the receiver to schedule the viewing of programmes or
memo messages.
The timers can be set directly in the EPG electronic programme guide for channels that transmit this
information (see section 2.4.1).
The Timer Service parameter settings will affect other settings.
CAUTION!!!
The start date and time set when programming the event timer must be after the actual time shown at the top
of the Timer menu, if not a timer error message is shown.
Scheduling an event or programme (Timer Service = TV Channel/ Radio Channel)
Timer Number: event timer number (1-8)

Timer Mode: select OFF or specify the repeat rate for the timer

Timer Service: select the type of channel (TV or Radio Channel)
3.
Wakeup Channel: press OK to open the drop-list and select a channel
4.
Wakeup Date: use the number buttons to set a date

On Time: use the number buttons to set the time the event begins

Duration: enter the length of the event or programme
