3.2.3 TP (Transponder) Scan Menu
The TP Scan menu functions scan/update channels belonging to a specific transponder.
To run a scan you must know the transponder's transmission parameters and enter them as follows:
Satellite: select the name of a satellite

TP (Transponder) Index: select a TP index for the channel scan. Use ◄► to change index and you

will see its corresponding frequency in the TP frequency box
TP (Transponder) Frequency: enter TP frequency using either ◄► or the number buttons
3.
Symbol Rate: enter the Symbol Rate (S/R) for the TP
4.
Polarity: select a polarity, either vertical (V) or horizontal (H)
5.
Scan mode: select all channels or only free to air transmissions
6.
Network Search: find all channels belonging to a specific Network. The receiver will scan all the
7.
channels, even on different transponders, transmitted by the same broadcaster (e.g. all RAI
channels)
Search: press OK to start the scan

CAUTION!!!
If the signal strength and quality bars at the bottom of the screen do not respond or indicate low levels, make
sure the parameters have been entered correctly and/or the selected TP is not out of date and/or the
Antenna Setup menu settings are correct and/or your antenna plant in working properly and that it is
designed to receive the selected TP.
3.2.4 Preset Scan Menu
The Preset Scan menu functions scan all the channels available from a satellite in the same way as the
Auto Scan menu (see section 3.2.2). The only difference is that the channel scan is faster and more precise
because it follows a factory defined database. On the other hand the scan may memorise less channels
since the transponder data-base may, in effect, be incomplete, especially for all those satellites are rarely
used on the Italian market, or out of date. So for a more in-depth scan, the best choice would be to use the
Auto Scan menu (see section 3.2.2).

3.3 System Setup Menu

The System Setup menu functions modify and customise many of the decoder settings. The following sub-
menus are available:
Language: sets the menu language and the main and second audio languages

TV System: optimises receiver interfacing with the TV and other appliances
2.
Time & Timer setting: sets the clock and the timers
3.
OSD Setting: customises the OSD (On Screen Display)
4.
Parental Lock: sets/modifies the Password to access menus and/or channels
5.
LNB Power: sets the power to the LNB converter to On/Off
6.
Default Value: restores the factory default settings on the receiver (settings and channels)

3.3.1 Language Menu

The following options are available:
Language: select the OSD language

First Audio: select the main audio as the language that will be selected if a channel is transmitted in

multi-audio)
Second Audio: select the second audio as the language that will be selected if a channel is

transmitted in multi-audio and the Main Audio language is not available
If the First Audio and Second Audio languages are not available the receiver will use the language defined
by the broadcaster.
3.3.2 TV System Menu
The TV System menu has the following settings
Display Mode: the TV standard used (automatic is recommended)

Aspect Mode: how the image is viewed on the TV, which is also dependent on the type of

transmission for the channel being viewed. The format options are 16/9, 4:3PS (Pan Scan) and
4:3LB (Letter Box)
