3.2.1.2 DiSEqC Mode

This function is used for multiple converter antenna plants.
For a typical Italian two LNB or dual-feed antenna plant, with the first LNB pointing on Hotbird 13° East and
the second on Astra 19° East, use the following settings:
Satellite: Hotbird 13E
LNB type: Universal
22K: Off
DiSEqC: 1/2
Positioner: None
Polarity: H/V

3.2.1.3 Motor Mode

This receiver can command a motorised antenna either by the DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS protocol, depending on
the type of motor used in the plant. To use this mode the DiSEqC in the Antenna Setup menu must be set
to Disable. Then go to Positioner and select the correct protocol (i.e. DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS).
DiSEqC 1.2
To enter this sub-menu, after having set the Positioner parameter to DiSEqC 1.2, press OK on the remote
control. The following options will be listed:
Satellite: satellite name (press OK to open the list of satellites on memory)
1.
TP: transponder related to the satellite (press OK to open the list of transponders on memory). Make
2.
sure that you select a transponder that can still be received and not out of date so that the signal
strength and quality bars are satisfactory
Position No. & Save: the satellite position reference is assigned and saved when a satellite has
3.
been detected (to save the position press OK). This will automatically recall the position.
DiSEqC Mode: the following settings have to be made:
4.
a. Installer: fine or continuous position adjustment
b. Step: step adjustment of the antenna position
c. Advanced: advanced mode functions, e.g. enable/exclude motor rotation limits or zero the
motor position (press OK to enter)
d. Go to X: recall the motor position of a Position Nr. parameter saved earlier
Movement: commands the parabola motor according to the settings in the DiSEqC Mode (use ◄ ►
5.
on the remote control)
USALS
To enter this sub-menu, after having set the Positioner parameter to USALS, press OK on the remote

strength and quality bars are satisfactory
Satellite Longitude: longitude of the selected satellite (pre-set for all listed satellites)
3.
Local: the antenna plant's co-ordinates. Press OK to access the following options:
4.
a. A list of pre-set locations that automatically set the latitude and longitude parameters at 5 –
6, which will then be locked
b. Manual: if your location is not listed, the following parameters have to be entered manually
Local Longitude: longitude of the antenna plant location
5.
Local Latitude: latitude of the antenna plant location
6.
Movement: fine adjustment of the motor position (if required)
7.
Limit setup: enable/exclude rotation limits for the motor
8.
Go to Reference: send the motor a command to zero its position
9.
3.2.2 Auto Scan Menu
The Auto Scan menu functions automatically detect and memorise the transponders and channels of the
satellite received by the antenna. With this function new channels can be added to the list and existing
channels can be updated if the broadcaster has varied their PID (transmission parameters that identify the
programme's audio and video).
The menu has the following options:
Satellite: select the name of a satellite
1.
Scan mode: select one of the following scan modes
2.
a. All: all the channels found are memorised (both free to air and coded)
