3.3.7 Default Value Menu
The Default Value menu function can be used to restore the receiver's factory settings. To reset the default
settings the 4-figure password is requested (see section 3.3.5).
CAUTION!!!
A reset will loose all personal options and features settings saved on the receiver, including all channels, favourite lists
and any other menu settings.

3.4 Tools Menu

The Tools menu provides a range of extra functions that help the user use the receiver and some games:
Information: information on the channel being viewed and on the software version installed on the

3.4.1 Information Menu

The Information menu shows:
the name of the satellite transmitting the channel being viewed (Satellite)

The type of converter (LNB Freq.)

The type of DiSEqC commanding the converter associated with the satellite of the channel being

viewed (DiSEqC)
The transmission parameters of the transponder related to the channel being viewed (Trans. Freq.,

Symbol Rate, Polarity, PID Video/Audio/PCR/Teletext/Subtitles)
Software version installed on the receiver (Version)

3.4.2 Satellite Guide Menu
This menu function calculates the Orientation and Elevation of the parabolic antenna for the Satellite
transmitting the channel being viewed. This function can only work if you have entered the co-ordinates of
the parabola (Local Longitude and Local Latitude) and the satellite position (Satellite Longitude).
3.4.3 Games Menu
The user can have fun with three classics in electronic games: Tetris, Snake and Othello.
3.4.4 Software Update Menu
Since your receiver is made to last, the time may come when its software needs to be modified or improved
by updates. These updates will optimise the receiver's functions or correct minor flaws. The software for this
receiver can be updated in the following ways:
Upgrade by RS232: for updates loaded from a PC using the RS232 serial port.

Upgrade by Satellite: for updates distributed directly to all receives by satellite

3.4.4.1 Upgrade by RS232
This software update method can only be carried out by the aftersales service.
3.4.4.2 Upgrade by Satellite
Updates may also be distributed to all receivers via satellite.
When an update is made available enter this menu, select the Satellite to receive the update (for Italy it is
usually HotBird 13° East) without changing any parameters, then press OK under Start.
CAUTION!!!
Do not modify any parameters on display since this may impair the update function.
Some parameters are specific to your antenna plant and have to be set (e.g. LNB type and DiSEqC), those
identifying the updates on HotBird 13° East are:
