Replace the 3.5mm OD, 1.5mm ID EMPP 562 tube in the HCl Water Pump if
installed in systems built with FMI Heavy Duty Circulation Pump (see item A in
service kit). If there are no HCl Water In and HCl Water Out ports on the
BioTector, this item does not apply.
Check that the peristaltic pumps are pumping correctly. The pump rate measurements are used to
confirm that the correct tubing has been installed in the appropriate pump. Any variation between
tube batches is corrected when the zero and span calibration is carried out.
Sample Pump rate for WMM60 Pump at 16 pulses should be between 5.5ml
and 7.5ml in ~8 seconds.
Acid Pump rate for SR25 Pump at 20 pulses should be between 3.9ml and
4.9ml in ~13 seconds.
Base Pump rate for SR25 Pump at 20 pulses should be between 3.9ml and
4.9ml in ~13 seconds.
Important Note: For the correct operation of the system, the measured Acid and Base Pump rates
must be identical or as close as possible. The maximum allowable difference in the measured
volumes for acid and base injections above is typically 5% or ~0.2ml. This figure is based on
standard system operation conditions and may not cover systems built with specific configurations.
HCl Water Pump (if installed) rate should be between 8.5ml and 11.5ml in ~18
seconds. If there are no HCl Water In and HCl Water Out ports on the
BioTector, this item does not apply.
Check that the valves are operating correctly:
Sample (ARS) Valve checked. MV4
Sample Out Valve checked. MV5
Purge Valve (if fitted) checked. MV51
In systems built with Multi Component Reactor (MCR), when Sample Out
Valve (MV5) is activated, the Purge Valve (MV51) automatically activates.
Exhaust Valve checked. MV1
TOC Acid Valve checked. MV6
Base Valve checked (if fitted). MV10
Injection Valve checked. MV7
Check all the other valves installed in the BioTector.
Check and confirm that MANUAL/CALIBRATION ports are not blocked or
isolated.
Remove Ozone Line Filter and wash it with DIW (or tap water). Dry the filter
well and reinstall in place.
Replace the 149mm filter mats in fan and vent housing (see item S in service
kit).
Check the operation of the fan.
