6-2 Simulation
Several simulations are provided with the RIP Station, and you can create additional
ones as needed by modifying the existing ones. The simulations provided are:
• DIC—Japanese press standard.
• Cromalin ® EuroSTD—European proofing standard for offset printing.

• DuPont WaterProof —proofing standard for negative commercial printing.
• Euroscale—European press standard.
• SWOP-COM /M—SWOP Commercial 3M Match Print.
• SWOP-COM /F—SWOP Commercial FujiColorArt Match Print.
• Custom simulations—defined by editing existing simulations.
DuPont Color Proofing
The two DuPont qualified simulations—DuPont WaterProof and
Cromalin EuroSTD—were created by DuPont. These simulations were designed for
precise color output that will match the color of these proofing products. These
simulations are valid only when DuPont/EPSON Commercial Proofing Paper is used
with the RIP Station. The use of any other media invalidates the color fidelity and may
result in unpredictable color.
