Print jobs in the Hold and Printed queues and jobs that have been processed but not printed are not deleted and are available for printing when you restart the RIP Station.
2-1 Setting print options This chapter describes how to print to the RIP Station from a Windows computer Chapter 2: using the Adobe PostScript Printer Driver (provided with the RIP Station user Printing with software). You can print files from within your Windows application to the Windows RIP Station connected on your network.
2-2 Printing with Windows Computers To set print options for a job, you need to change the printer driver properties. You can access the printer driver properties in several ways. For example, with many applications you can access the properties from the print dialog box. The procedures in the following sections describe how to set print options by changing the properties of the printer driver in the Windows control panel.
Page 27
2-3 Setting print options 4. Choose Properties from the File menu. 5. Click the Paper tab, and select the appropriate settings for your print job.
Page 28
2-4 Printing with Windows Computers For best performance, it is recommended to use portrait orientation. If you print landscape images, rotate them within the application. If media loaded in the selected tray is a different size, orientation, or media type than that of the job you are sending, the RIP Station displays an error message and the job will not print.
2-5 Setting print options Working with custom page sizes in Windows 95 With custom page sizes, you define the page dimensions and the unprintable area of the page. You can save three different custom page sizes for easy use any time you print. O DEFINE A CUSTOM PAGE SIZE 1.
