Appendix C:
Troubleshooting
This section describes problems that you may encounter while using the RIP Station.

Error messages

When an error interferes with printing, you will see a message on the Control Panel.
Following are the messages (listed in alphabetical order), with the appropriate
corrective action for each one.
Error message
Size MediaType Tray
for example:
Letter PQGlossy 1
Communication error
Cover open
Disk error
Disk full
Corrective action/additional information
Load the specified media size and type in the tray.
There is a problem with the printer power or cable
connection.
• Make sure the printer is turned on.
• Make sure that the cable between the RIP Station and
the printer has not come loose.
The RIP Station will resume printing when the cable is
securely connected to both the RIP Station and the
printer.
The printer cover is open. Close it to resume printing.
There is a problem with the RIP Station hard disk.
Contact your authorized service technician.
The RIP Station hard disk is full.
• Use the Fiery Spooler to delete unnecessary jobs from
the Printed queue.
• Use the Fiery Downloader to remove unnecessary fonts.
