Some devices automatically support Layer 2 and Layer 2+Static Routing
mode (X1052/P and X4012). Other devices can be specifically placed in either
Layer 2 mode or Layer 2+ mode (X1008/P, X1018/P and X1026/P).
To set the system mode of the for devices where this is possible:
1 Click Network Administration > Route Settings > IPv4 Route Settings
> System Routing Mode.
2 Click Edit.
3 Select either Layer 2 or Layer 2+ Static Routing.
