1. Connect the handset cord into the HANDSET jack.
2. Connect the telephone line to the LINE jack using the line cord.
The SFX-1 10/21 O should not share a modul~r jack with other communication
equipment, as this may obstruct the proper functioning of the unit.
3. Connect AC power cord of the SFX-1 10/21 O into an AC wall outlet.
The AC outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
4. An extension telephone or an answering machine (only for SFX-1 10) can be connected
to the SFX-1 10/21 O through the line plug.
Notice to New Zealand users:
The operation of this equipment on the same line as telephone or other equipment
with audible warning devices or automatic ring detectors will give rise to bell tinkle
or noise and may cause false tripped of the ring detector.
Should such problems
occur, the user is not to contact Telecom Faults Service.
Note:
If you have custom calling services that produce tones or clicks during line use (such as Call
Waiting), some difficulty may be experienced in the operation of your fax unit. Consult your
telephone company.
