Overseas transmission
When you transmit a fax to an overseas party, poor telephone line connection may cause a
transmission error to occur. The overseas transmission feature maybe used to reduce
communication errors with overseas parties.
1. Place the original document face down.
Adjust the paper guide to the width of the document.

2. Select a contrastkesolution

necessary. (See page 30.)

3. Press [SPEED DIAL].

4. Press [#].
*A beep sounds.

5. Enter the overseas access code.
Example: 011

6. Press [REDIAUP] to enter a 3-second* pause.

7. Dial the country code and fax number.
Example: 49111222333

8. Press [START'J
+ When the line is connected, transmission

49111222333
begins automatically.
A pause time is initially set to 3 seconds. This can be changed between 2 to 12 seconds
using the feature switch No. 01. See pages 77-79.
The overseas transmission feature may also be used for local communications
when a
transmission error occurs.
