Mechanical error
When the display shows "MECHANICAL ERROR", operate the following procedure to clear
the error.
(If the ERROR lamp also lights, press [STOP] before operating below.)
1. Open the original document tray.
2. Lift the operation panel.
3. Press [OPEN] button to open the recording
cover.
4. If the cogwheel o is stuck in the cogwheel @
as shown figure 1, lift the cogwheel ~.
(See figure 2)
The correct position of cogwheel ~ and @
shows in the figure 3.
5. Reinsert the end of recording paper roll to
recording paper exit.
6. Close the recording paper cover securely by
pressing on the left and right front corners of
the far end of the cover.
The recording paper is cut automatically.

Sanyo service center.
