Using a Touch-Tone extension phone connected to the same line in parallel:
The feature switch No. 57 (Parallel FAX/TEL connection) allows you to turn on the parallel
remote reception feature. (See pages 77-78 and 80.) The initial factory setting is OFF.
1. When an incoming call is received, lift the
handset of the extension phone.
2. Talk if it is a voice call. If it is a fax, then:
3. Press [ * ] and then [#] on the extension
phone to activate a fax reception.
(Press each button for at least half a second.)
4. Replace the handset.
You can also deactivate a fax reception from an extension phone:
If you answer a voice call on an extension phone while the SFX-I 10/21 O is issuing the second
set of rings in auto reception mode, you can stop the ringing by entering [ x ] and then [#] from
the extension phone. This prevents the SFX-1 10/21 O from switching to fax receiving mode.
Notes
Remote reception cannot be used from pulse-dialing extension phone.
For SFX-1 10, remote reception does not work when the reception mode is set to ANSWER
mode.
Remote reception may not function properly on certain telephones.
