GASBOY Series 1000
CARD VALIDATION COMMANDS
Cards used by the CFN system have six of the seven digits for the card number encoded in the
card field and an additional digit (which is the most significant) is encoded at the end of the card
string. If this digit is omitted, the first digit on the card is assumed to be 0, otherwise, it is the value
of the digit (for example, if the last digit is 7 and the card number field begins with 123456, the
actual card number would be 7123456). Although encoded this way, when card numbers appear
in transactions, the entire 7-digit number appears. CFN systems have limited lockout based on
this 7-digit card number.
Card validation commands allow you to control access to your system by validating/invalidating
cards by number. Card numbers can be validated/invalidated individually or in strings of up to 10
entries per line. Ranges are not supported. If desired, the system can lock out the entire file of
users. This number can vary based on the number specified at order, but the standard is 550.
TRANSACTION HEADINGS
The transaction headings for transactions generated by the CFN systems have the first five fields
in this order:
TRAN - transaction number (4 digits)
CARD - card number (7 digits)
ACCT - account field (9 digits)
VEH - vehicle number (4 digits)
JOB# - job number (8 digits) optional manual entry
The rest of the transaction headings are as shown for the standard Series 1000 system.
PT - PRINT TRANSACTIONS
The PT command for CFN systems produces the following printout of transactions.
