Message Description
Not Enough Insufficient postage. Postage
Funds amount exceeds maximum
funds available in meter.
Refill Too Refill amount entered is more
High than the maximum
mailstation™ will allow.
Connect Analog phone line not
phone cord connected to mailstation™.
If you encounter an error that has no accompanying message (such
as "1103", "2215", etc.), press Clear/Back. If nothing happens in
5 seconds, turn off machine; wait 15 seconds, and then turn on
machine. If problem persists, call Pitney Bowes (see Pitney Bowes
Contact List at the start of this guide).
Nothing Displays
1. The mailstation™ meter may be in sleep mode. Press any key to
wake it.
2. Is power cord plugged into both the mailstation™ meter and wall
outlet? Make sure the power cord is not connected to a switched
wall outlet.
3. Try unplugging the AC power cord, wait 15 seconds, and re-plug
in AC cord.

Printing is Incomplete, Streaked, or Poor Quality

You may need to clean the printer nozzles to fix the printing problem.
1. Press Menu.
2. Use the Review keys to scroll to "Use ink functions?" and press
Enter/yes.
3. Use the Review keys to scroll to "Clean printer nozzles?" and
press Enter/yes. A "Preparing ink Please wait..." message
displays as the mailstation™ meter performs its cleaning.
5. When prompted, insert an envelope or tape sheet into the
mailstation™ meter.
6. At "Is test pattern OK" prompt, press Enter/yes. If the printing
did not improve, you may need to replace the cartridge or print
head (see Section 7 - Ink Maintenance).

Select a lower postage amount.
Perform a funds refill to add funds
to the meter.
Press Clear/Back (C). Repeat
refill procedure with a smaller
postage amount.
Connect analog phone line to
mailstation™.
