TEMPERATURE GAUGE OR LIGHT
The center area of the water temperature gauge
is indicated by two marks located on each side of
the center mark between the
"e"
and "H" marks.
When the gauge needle is in the range of the
center area, normal operating temperature is in-
dicated. However, if the needle moves beyond the
center area mark into the "H" side or hot area of
the gauge, stop the engine until the cause of the
overheating is determined.
Temperature Indicator
Light~Should
the tem-
perature of the engine coolant teach the point
where there is danger of engine damage, this red
indicator light will come on. If this occurs, stop
the engine until the cooling system is thoroughly
checked and the cause of the overheating is found
and corrected. When the light is off, normal en-
gine operating temperature is indicated.

NOTE: As a check on the condition of the Gen-
erator, Oil Pressure and Temperature Indicator
Lights, the bulbs
will
light
up when the ignition
switch is
in "ON"
position but before the en-
gine is started, and while the engine is being
cranked, and then should go out. as engine
speed is increased.
AMMETER OR GENERATOR
TELL-TALE LIGHT
The ammeter indicates the flow of current to
and from the battery, except for the current taken
by the starting motor.

The generator tell-tale light indicates generator
operation.
Normal operation is with the light off or for the
ammeter to show a positive (+) reading. Refer
to "Operating Instructions" for complete gauge
(or indicator) interpretation.
