Cylinder Head Disassembly - Honda rebel 250 Service Manual

CYLINDER HEAD/VALVES
Remove
the cylinder head
bolts,
nut
and
the cylinder head.
NOTE
•
Be
careful
not
to
left
the
front cylinder
head
bolt
fall
into
the cylinder.
CAUTION
•
Du
nut strike the cylinder
head
fins
to
remove
the cylinder head
Remove
the
dowel
pine
and
cylinder
head
gasket.
CYLINDER
HEAD DISASSEMBLY
Remove
the spark
plugs from the
cylinder head.
Remove
the valve spring
cotters, retainers,
springs
and
valves using the special tools as
shown.
TOOL:
Valve spring
compressor

CAUTION
•
To
prevent
loss
of
tension, do
not
compress
the valve springs
more
than necessary
to
remove
the
cotters.
NOT
E
•
Mark
all
parts
during disassembly so they can be placed
back
In
their original locations.
Remove
the valve
stem
seals
and
valve spring
seats.
