Do not touch the filters with your bare fingers!
1. Open the access door on the front of the instrument. Slide the filter cube out
of its compartment.
2. Inspect the glass filters for speckled surfaces or a "halo" effect. This may
indicate deterioration due to moisture exposure over a long period of time.
If you have any concerns about the quality of the filters, contact your
BioTek representative.
3. Using cotton balls or lens-cleaning tissue moistened with a small amount of
high-quality alcohol, clean each filter by lightly stroking its surface in one
direction.
4. Use a magnifying glass to inspect the surface; remove any loose threads left
from the cotton ball.
5. Replace the filter cube and close the door.
