Direct Access Parameter Information
The GX9 ASD has the ability to allow the user direct access to the motor control functions. There are two
ways in which the motor control parameters may be accessed from the EOI: Program Applicable Menu
Path or Program Direct Access Applicable Parameter Number.Both methods access the parameter
via the Program mode.
Parameters may also be accessed via communications. Once accessed via either means, the parameter may
be viewed or changed.
The Program mode allows the user to develop an application-specific motor control profile. Motor
control functions may be set to accommodate specific power and timing requirements for a given
application. The configurable parameters of the Program mode that have user-accessible Parameter
Numbers are listed and described below.
The Direct Access screen allows for the display of numbers that access hidden parameters that are used by
development personnel. Enable the Unknown Numbers field to access these numbers. Contact the
Customer Support Center for information on using the Unknown Numbers field.
Note: Parameter Settings are preceded by the number used to select an item if using
communications to write to a parameter location in memory (i.e., F000 0-Disabled, 1-
Enabled).
Note: Communications setting changes will require that the ASD input power be removed and then
re-applied for the changes to take affect.

Automatic Acceleration/Deceleration
Program Fundamental Accel/Decel 1 Settings
This parameter is used to enable acceleration and deceleration rates in
accordance with the applied load automatically.
The adjusted acceleration and deceleration times range from 12.5% to 800% of
the programmed values for Acceleration Time 1 (F009) and Deceleration
Time 1 (F010).
Settings:
0 — Disabled
1 — Enabled
Note:
The motor and the load must be connected prior to selecting
Automatic Acceleration/Deceleration.
