Legacy, or ISMA Compliant. Default is Legacy. Note that transmitted
SAPs can be compressed or uncompressed. When set to Legacy, the
SAP message is not compressed and does not contain an initial object
descriptor. This setting is optimized to be compatible with previously
released VBrick SAP transmissions. The ISMA Compliant setting
contains iod and is compressed. SAPs are optimized for compliance
with ISMA standards. When set to ISMA Compliant, the program
guide will not operate correctly on MPEG-1 version 2.5.0 or earlier
and MPEG-2 VBricks version 2.1.0 or earlier.
The IP address SAP information is sent out to the network.
The port SAP information is sent out to the network.
Forward SAP announcements to all unicast destination addresses
which are configured on the Encoder > Network pages (i.e.
Destination 1 & 2)
Default = Enable. The RTP standard protocol contains an RTCP, or
Real-time Transport Control element allowing both a VBrick and the
PCs that are receiving video from that VBrick to carry on
communication concerning the quality and stability of the video that is
being sent. Enable allows RTCP sender reports to be sent from the
VBrick.
If the RTCP Transmit is enabled, this setting tells the VBrick how
often (in seconds) to send the reports.
When choosing an RTP Packet Size, special attention must be paid to
the network capability and topology. The allowed range is 1000 to
1472 bytes per packet, in four byte increments only.
