Use the TIMER FUNCTION when you wish to delay the completion of the bread. This function
allows you to delay the baking time for up to about 15 hours. For example, it allows for setting
the TIMER in the evening so that you wake up to fresh baked bread at 8 o'clock the following
morning.
FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES TO SET THE TIMER:
Note: Don't use DELAY function and TIMER in connection with recipes using ingredients
that can be spoiled, such as egg, fish, milk, yogurt or cheese.
6. When setting the TIMER you must decide when the bread should be ready. For example, if
you put all the ingredients in the bread maker at 8 p.m. and you wish to wake up to the aroma
of freshly baked bread at 8 a.m. the following day, you need 12 hours for the bread to be
ready. When you have chosen the correct setting for your recipe (e.g. if you wish to bake a
basic bread with medium crust, then press PROGRAM until number 1 shows in the display,
then press CRUST to Medium and BREAD to 2), then quite simply set TIMER for the total
amount of hours, in this case, 12 hours.
7. Press TIMER on the control panel and 3:10 – the time for this setting – will automatically
appear in the display window. Continue pressing TIMER until 12:00 appears on the
display. No mathematical calculations are necessary to find the difference between setting
(3:10) and the total amount of hours that you wish (12:00). The bread maker will
automatically adjust itself. Simply set TIMER to the total amount of hours (12). If you
press past 12:00, then simply press TIMER until the number re-appears.
3. As soon as you have set the timer, press START/STOPP. The colon (: ) on the display and
the light for PRE-WARM will blink to show that TIMER is set and the countdown will
commence. TIMER will count down in periods of one minute. When the display reaches
0:00, the bread is ready and the alarm will sound.
