9 dl (450 g) TORO bread mixture
4 dl water
2 tspns dry yeast
Pour the liquid (37 °C) in the tin. Add the bread mixture and the yeast. Set the machine to 3–4
hours (French). The recipe may be used on all TORO's gluten-free variants, even in mixtures.
Based on TORO
Program 1 – Dark crust – Large (3)
6.2 dl water
4 tbspns oil
1 packet dark ("grov") TORO bags (400 g)
200 g fine cake mixture
100 g oat with herbs
2¼ tspns yeast
2 tbspns fibre husk
Mix fibre husk with the water in the tin and add the remaining wet ingredients. Then add the dry
ingredients. Finally add yeast; it should ideally not get in contact with the water before the baking
process has started.
Remember that ingredients should always be put together in the sequence mentioned here.
Avoid letting the dry yeast come in contact with liquids before the baking process has started.
Amount of salt varies according to wish. We should only eat a little salt, but bread tastes good with
a little extra. Sugar is not usually included in bread recipes, but it improves the final result. A
small amount of sugar is recommended for bread with dry yeast, and it is advantageous in quick
bread.
Amount of flour varies around +l – 0.5 dl depending on baking qualities and soaking up the liquid.
White flour has the best baking quality and it alone makes for airy and light bread.
Whole wheat also possesses good baking qualities, but fine is best.
Rye produces a moist and good bread but has inferior baking quality – fine is best.
Other good additions are: whole wheat, oats, - and wheat bran, sunflower seeds, linseeds, etc. If
you choose half the amount of flour, it would produce a healthy, heavier bread.
If you choose more than half the amount of white flour, you will get a lighter, more airy bread.
Mix and vary the different flour types, but remember that if the measurements are to be precise,
you must:
Measure the different types of flour individually.
• Don't thump the different flour types together in the measuring cup, but brush away
gently on top.
When adding ingredients for different tastes, many ingredients can be used such as different
herbs, spices, etc.
