This menu appears as a soft button at the bottom right corner of the panel. This is always accessible to the user from
the main Diagnostics menu.

SCANNER TESTS

Back Side Scan Uniformity
Perform this test after replacing the ADF.
Note: Before starting, make sure the scanner glass and backing material are clean.

Navigate to SCANNER TESTS > Back Side Scan Uniformity.

Select Continue or Exit.
After successfully executing this test, verify the results.

Load the ADF with a document containing both light and dark content.

Perform a duplex copy. If the back side of the resulting copy contains vertical streaks, clean the scanner glass and
backing sheet, perform the back side scan uniformity procedure, and then perform another copy. If streaks still
appear on the resulting copy, repeat the cleaning and verification procedure for a second time or replace the ADF
entirely.
ASIC Test
This setting initiates a scan of the scanner ASIC's memory.
To perform this test, do the following:

Navigate to SCANNER TESTS > ASIC Test.

The test executes.

The device displays the result, and then resets.
Motor Tests
The motor tests allow you to test the functionality of the motors in the flatbed and ADF units. To perform these tests,
navigate to Scanner Tests > Motor Tests > select a motor.
Feed Test
This enables a servicer to execute a continuous feed test from either the ADF or the flatbed. To perform the feed test,
do the following:

Navigate to Scanner Tests > Feed Test.

Select a paper size.

Press Start to proceed with the test.

Press Stop to end the test.
