4.1 Motor Torque Signal and Revolution Signal Input (TORQUE/SPEED; option)
Revolution Signal Input Connector (SPEED)
Apply a revolution sensor output signal—a DC voltage (analog) signal or pulse signal that is
proportional to the motor's rotating speed—that meets the following specifications.
DC Voltage (Analog input)
Item
Connector type
Input range
Effective input range
Input resistance
Maximum allowable input
Continuous maximum common-mode voltage
Pulse Input
Item

Terminal Used for Analog Input
Apply analog input to terminal A.
Terminal Used for Pulse Input
• If you do not need to detect the revolution direction of a revolution signal (SPEED), apply pulse
input to terminal A.
• If you need to detect the revolution direction, apply phase A and phase B of a rotary encoder to
terminals A and B, respectively.
• If you need to measure the electrical angle, apply phase Z of a rotary encoder to terminal Z.
