Greasing the Boom Hinges

Service Interval: Every 100 hours
Important: If the boom hinge is washed with water,
all water and debris must be cleared from the hinge
assembly and fresh grease must be applied.
Grease Type: No. 2 general-purpose, lithium-base grease.
1. Wipe the grease fittings clean so that foreign matter
cannot be forced into the bearing or bushing.
2. Pump grease into the bearing or bushing at each fitting

3. Wipe off excess grease.
4. Repeat this procedure for each boom pivot.

Maintenance
WARNING
Chemical substances used in the spray system may
be hazardous and toxic to you, bystanders, animals,
plants, soils or other property.
• Carefully read and follow the chemical
warning labels and Material Safety Data
Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals used, and
protect yourself according to the chemical
manufacturer's recommendations. For example,
use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) including face and eye protection, gloves,
or other equipment to guard against personal
contact with the chemical.
• Keep in mind that there may be more than 1
chemical used and information on each should
be assessed.
• Refuse to operate or work on the sprayer if this
information is not available!
• Before working on a spray system make sure the
system has been triple rinsed and neutralized
according to the recommendations of the
chemical manufacturer(s) and all of the valves
have been cycled 3 times.
• Verify that there is an adequate supply of clean
water and soap nearby, and immediately wash
off any chemicals that contact you.

Inspecting the Hoses

Service Interval: Every 200 hours
Every 400 hours/Yearly (whichever comes first)
Examine each hose in the spray system for cracks, leaks, or
other damage. At the same time, inspect the connections and
fittings for similar damage. Replace any hoses and fittings if
they are damaged.
